The many faces of Lize. Just an idea. I have been eating dill pickles (like two small ones daily) and drinking like a mouth full of pickle juice daily. Michael turned me on to this. Might help with the cramping and such. Might be mental but it is working for me. 5/8 1:46 pm
Thank you! I know that trick! I think it is a result of my toe running, doing not enough stretching and it showed up a couple of weeks ago when I ran two long very steep incline routes one on the Saturday and one the Sunday. I was fine but when I wanted to run the Tuesday after, the muscles in my calf and behind my knee felt as if they were going to snap they were so tight. I couldnt run! Had two physio sessions but still tender on runs. But slowly getting better! Im determined to make my 100 day streak! 5/12 10:06 am

Sometimes a run is just about going nowhere slowly, finding that soothing rythm that will carry you the necessary distance, downhill uphill and even in the heat of noon, allowing you the space to just again wrap your head around yourself, life and God, bringing you back home ready to make the beds and wash the dishes.... Did a recovery set on tread today. Because Im a complete forefoot runner and the firts half of the marathon was very steep downhill my calves are very sore. So I did 1km slow walk, 1km brisk walk, 1km slow jog, 1km run and 1km brisk walk again. On the walks i set slight incline to stretch out calves. Also foam rolled and stretched.
