Ben Dhiman Conquers UTMB Mont-Blanc In Epic 100-Mile Triumph

Ben Dhiman has conquered one of the world’s most demanding ultra-trail challenges, powering through the brutal 100-mile UTMB Mont-Blanc course to claim the 2026 title in an extraordinary 18:16:29.

Dhiman delivered a composed and relentless performance across the mountainous course, combining endurance, resilience and tactical discipline to emerge victorious after more than 18 hours of racing through the spectacular but unforgiving terrain around Mont Blanc.

His winning performance put him clear at the front of a fiercely competitive men’s field, as he held his form deep into the race to secure one of the biggest victories of his ultra-running career.

Baptiste Chassagne produced a superb performance to finish runner-up in 18:47:38, crossing the line 31 minutes and nine seconds behind Dhiman. Caleb Olson completed the podium after clocking 18:48:24, just 46 seconds behind Chassagne following an intense battle for second and third.

The final standings saw Dhiman take the crown in 18:16:29, followed by Chassagne in 18:47:38 and Olson in 18:48:24.

UTMB Mont-Blanc is renowned for its extraordinary combination of distance, elevation and technical mountain terrain, demanding not only exceptional physical endurance but also the ability to remain mentally strong for hours deep into the night.

Beyond the clock and the final standings, Dhiman’s triumph was a powerful demonstration of what it takes to master the world of ultra-trail running. The 100-mile journey demanded patience, concentration and an extraordinary ability to keep moving when fatigue was at its most unforgiving. Every climb, descent and technical section tested his limits, but Dhiman remained composed until the decisive moment.

For Dhiman, crossing the finish line after 100 miles represented the culmination of a remarkable display of stamina and determination. He navigated the immense challenge with remarkable consistency to earn the ultimate reward — the title of 2026 UTMB champion.

As the finish line finally came into view, the exhaustion of an all-day battle gave way to the unmistakable feeling of victory. After 18 hours, 16 minutes and 29 seconds of relentless effort, Dhiman could finally celebrate becoming a UTMB champion — a moment that will undoubtedly rank among the defining achievements of his career and one that will be remembered long after the mountains fall silent.

In a race where simply reaching the finish is considered an achievement, Dhiman went a step further and stood alone at the top of the podium.
