Ritzenhein, in preparation for his second appearance at the Boston Marathon

Dathan Ritzenhein was interested in competing in a half marathon ahead of the Boston Marathon, and he found one of his favorites. Ritzenhein was pegged as one of the top contenders Tuesday when the United Airlines New York City Marathon announced its professional field of runners for the March 18 race. The Rockford resident will use the race in preparation for his second appearance at the Boston Marathon on April 16.
