Thousands of runners expected for 40th Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K

As many as 9,000 runners are expected to turn out this weekend at King Harbor for the 40th annual installment of the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10k/5k, a run/walk with sweeping ocean views that has been a hit since it debuted on Jan. 21, 1979. The day also will feature a costume contest, a children’s 1k run, a 10k baby buggy, live music, food and beverages. A health and fitness expo will take place Saturday and Sunday at Seaside Lagoon.
