Master Runner Mary Unsworth smashed Canadian 5000M Record
Mary Unsworth lowered the masters Canadian indoor 5000m record for the 40-44 age group by more than two minutes at the Toronto Track and Field Centre on Sunday. She completed the 25-lap event at York University in 17:07:11, crushing the previous mark of 19:23:64, set by Michelle Clark in 2016. Mary ran her final 1000m in 3:15:04 which is 16:15 5K pace.
