Runners put their best foot forward in Houston

Cool temperatures and a crisp breeze greeted runners as they set off on the 46 annual Chevron Houston Marathon and Half Marathon. The race kicked off at 7 a.m this morning. The marathon has been held since 1972, and while it's traditionally taken place in January for the majority of its history, the very first and second races took place in late December, just before New Year.
