Course Record smashed at the 39th Annual Cotton Row Run

The Cotton Row Run has a new record time. Kenyan Linus Kiplagat, 23, ran the 39th edition of the 10K course in Huntsville in 28 minutes, 39 seconds on Monday, shattering the mark of 29:10 that John Wellerding set in 1983. In addition to the $1,200 that comes with finishing first, Kiplagat received a $5,000 bonus for breaking the course record. Kiplagat is the fifth consecutive Kenyan to win the Cotton Row Run.
