The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race, renowned as the longest-running USATF 20K National Championship, is scheduled for Monday, September 1, 2025 (Labor Day), in New Haven, Connecticut. This event will once again host the Men's and Women's USATF 20K National Championships, attracting elite athletes, including past champions and U.S. Olympians.

Participants can choose from various race options, including the signature 20K, Half Marathon, 5K, Half Marathon Relay, and a Kids Fun Run. The race courses are flat and fast, starting and finishing on the picturesque New Haven Green, and winding through notable landmarks such as Yale University and the charming Westville neighborhood. To ensure safety, time limits are enforced: 3 hours for the 20K and Half Marathon, and 55 minutes for the 5K.

New Haven Road Race

The race is proud to host the USA 20K Championship (Men’s Championship since 1993 and Women’s Championship since 2006). Available prize money and bonus in the 20K road race is $38,550. Recipients must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid USATF card.

Age categories are as follows: 12 & under (5K only), 13-19 (5K only), 19 & under (20K & half marathon only), 20-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-89 (5K only), 80+ (half marathon & 20K only), and 90+ (5K only).

First female, male and mixed gender relay teams receive awards.
