10/7/18 26.20 Miles 3:33:03 8:08 Chicago (US)
Just three weeks after running the Berlin Marathon I head out to run the Chicago Marathon. a beautiful morning and the perfect weather for a marathon, some rain and wind but nothing extreme, I was actually happy with the rain, otherwise we would have had a hot morning. My Garmin wasn't working properly, I believe the tall buildings affected the satellite, I know I wasn't the only one with this problem. So, for about 9 miles I couldn't see my real pace; 11:50, 12:15, 6:30, back to ten, and I was getting crazy, so I ran but feeling until I found the 3:40 pacers. I ran with them until mile 14, then I went on my own to finish with 12 seconds faster than Berlin. I'm very happy with the results.

9/30/18 12.00 Miles 1:38:09 8:11 Pinole/Orinda/CA (US)
Early morning yesterday, perfect weather for a nice 12 miles. I felt good, good cadence, good pace. I'm hoping to feel the same (or better) at the Chicago Marathon next Sunday.
9/29/18 5.50 Miles 48:50 8:53 Pinole, California (US)
Another little run in the middle of the day, warm and humid.
9/28/18 6.50 Miles 53:09 8:11 Pinole, California (US)

9/26/18 10.00 Miles 1:25:40 8:34 Pinole, California (US)
We came back yesterday evening from our trip, exhausted and with our biological clock all messed up. I woke up at 2:30 am and I couldn't go back to sleep, so around 4 am I finally got off the bed to eat breakfast, I was very hungry and craving oatmeal, yum! I didn't go out to do my run until 10 am, when it was already warm, but I did my training with a very steady pace.
9/24/18 8.50 Miles 3:15:00 22:57 Barcelona (ES)
Our last day in Barcelona, and we couldn't leave without going to the beach. So after my morning run, breakfast, shower and back out again in route to the beach, it was my first time being in contact with the Mediterranean Sea, a little cold but very pleasant (6 miles total). We explored some more on our way back, Later, around 7:30pm we went back out again to eat dinner, and some more walk after dinner for a total of miles.
9/24/18 9.00 Miles 1:29:00 9:54 Barcelona (ES)
I was exhausted this morning, so I decided to sleep a little longer but I couldn't. So I took of on direction of Arco del Triunfo, and again another place suggested for walkers and runners. It's very distracting to run using gps on the phone, but helpful. Warm and overcast and also humid, but my training is done. I will be running Chicago marathon in 14 days. Ayayayyy! And here I am, eating cheese with bread and wine every day 😉😁
9/23/18 11.00 Miles 4:30:00 24:33 Barcelona (ES)
Another big walk today in our way to Las Ramblas, Port Vell, Mall Magnum and after lunch back to our hotel for a well deserved nap. Back out again for coffee a nice evening walk and then ice cream. Time to rest.
9/22/18 6.70 Miles 2:45:00 24:38 Barcelona (ES)
After my morning run and breakfast, we walked in The Paseo de la Gracia to enjoy the beauty of Barcelona and the beautiful buildings that attracts many tourists every day. From paseo de La Gracia we walked over La Sagrada Familia, Everything beautiful, but we were exhausted.
9/22/18 6.00 Miles 54:25 9:05 Barcelona (ES)
A nice morning run in Barcelona, 72 degrees already around 8 am. I found my way to the beach and I enjoyed the fresh breeze. Lots of 🏃🏼 🏃🏽‍♀️ alone and in groups. I saw a group o people with big cameras giving instructions to a group of runners, they were filming a comercial for Adidas. Later we walked over 10 kms around the city.
9/20/18 5.50 Miles 51:01 9:17 Vienna (AT)
Celebrating my Birthday today (according to my mom notes), so, on my BD it's mandatory to get up and first give thanks to God for letting me celebrate one more year of healthy life and for giving me the opportunity to do what I like, RUN. Second, go for a run or any other physical activity of my choice. I went out with the idea to run no more than 4 miles, so I decided to head out to Belvedere garten, with my phone fully charged just in case. Well, no problem finding Belvedere, taking pictures and exploring a little bit. Somehow I started running in circles because my phone started getting crazy and suddenly dying; soon I was totally lost, with my running distance increasing and getting further away from my hotel and no money with me, because after all I wasn't planning to run more than 4 miles. Two hours later I ended up in a taxi cab riding just for one mile and the abusive price of 10 Euros 👎😩
9/16/18 3.00 Miles 1:25:00 28:20 Berlín (DE)
3 miles walk after the race, not a good idea when your feet start hurting and you are having a hard time moving from being exhausted, sore, stiff and whatever else. I thought it was a good idea because our hotel was only 3 kms away, but do it road closures we end up walking 3 painful miles, stopping in every corner but we made it. My husband and big supporter brought me a dry clothes that I didn't ask for because I thought I wasn't going to need since I order the poncho, but I was cold from all the sweat and water I put over my body. With that and my recovery drink, I thought I was all set to go, but nah! Next time a taxi, Uber, bike, horse, scooter or shoulders....
9/16/18 26.45 Miles 3:33:15 8:04 Berlín (DE)
Marathon day: After two bad nights of sleep I finally was able to sleep well (the allergy pills were a big help). I started the race with the idea of keep a pace of 8 minutes per mile during the first half and 7:50 or under in the second half. It was warm and I started sweating a lot, but my pace was under 7:50 and felt good, obviously the terrain allowed me to run without any complications, at least during 14 miles; after that my pace was dropping and I was having a hard time to keep it the way I wanted. I used all the necessary fluid provided, including the one made from beets and warm tea to neutralize the sweet from gels and chomps, two pieces of bananas and plenty of water; all those really helped, but I started feeling the exhaustion for the lack of good rest and sleep. Trying to keep the pace was very hard and obviously I couldn't. After mile 24, I didn't have the strength I needed it but I kept pushing until I crossed the finish, totally exhausted but happy it was over. Overall a beautiful race, beautiful and easy course. I just wish to have had a good training because that is a course for a PR.
9/16/18 2.00 Miles 22:00 11:00 Berlín (DE)

9/15/18 2.50 Miles 24:00 9:36 Berlín, (DE)

9/3/18 8.00 Miles 1:06:42 8:21 Pinole, Castro Ranch Rd, CA (US)
Feeling much better today, a little lighter and more energized. The weather has a lot to do, but also hydration and fueling. I have to pay more attention to my hydration from now on. I started my tapering this week and i do have lots of tomatoes to eat.
9/5/18 5.00 Miles 1:22:00 16:24 Pinole, CA (US)
A five mile walk around the town with my Sister in Law. I didn't think it was a good idea to run today, but I think it's a good idea to log these 5 miles to the challenge since it represents an effort from both parts, my SIL and myself.
9/1/18 14.00 Miles 2:04:49 8:55 Pinole/Orinda/California (US)
I had a hard time going out and I left around 10:30 am; a little to warm and I ran out of fluid. I felt tired, sluggish and heavy, three weeks away from Berlin Marathon (not a good feeling) 🙄😫
8/30/18 6.00 Miles 54:31:8 9:05:12 Pinole/California (US)
Arrived last night from Costa Rica, very tired, but I managed to go out and run some. Feeling heavy😩😳😬 Too much of a good food.

8/9/18 6.15 Miles 0:53:25 8:42 El Carmen de Guadalupe (CR)
Running on my home land today after an overnight flight and tired, but must need it. No fun to run on the city, but it wasn't bad. A good incline but feeling good. Greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Pura Vida👍🏾😃
8/7/18 9.00 Miles 1:13:39 8:11 Pinole/Castro Ranch Rd, California (US)

8/4/18 18.00 Miles 2:40:08 8:54 Pinole/Orinda(Bear Creek) California (US)
I got up very early today with the intention to be out no late than 6:15 and best the heat, but I ended up leaving around 7:05, it felt a little warm but still nice for about 4 miles. For whatever workouts I did during the week, my legs and arms were tired, especially my legs. I had to push very hard on those rolling hills that usually feel hard but not like today😨, they are not too steep, but they are 3/4 of mile long, and 1/2 a mile long, plus many others that I usually enjoy, but not today. I had to stop several times to stretch and regroup. At mile 16.25 my legs were giving up, so I stopped again and walked some, to a good finish without stopping anymore. But man, ...it was hard today. Is that the way people feel when they hit the wall?😱 It was 78 degrees when I finished but I felt like it was 85. Well, one more long run on my legs and that is what counts. Happy 😊 🏃🏽‍♀️
8/2/18 6.00 Miles 0:49:11.9 Pinole, California (US)
I haven't done any speed work since I ran the Wharf to Wharf race and I'm in the need of some work and because today was in the mood for it and I had only 6 miles on my plan I felt I should do some. So I ran 1 mile warm up, 3 miles at tempo pace and 2 miles cool down. I definitely need more of that👍🏾👍🏾 I'm happy I did it!
7/31/18 12.00 Miles 01:45:45 8:49 Pinole/Orinda area. California (US)
Early start today and a beautiful morning. This is one of many things I like during Summer, during Winter I have a hard time getting out, but I do it anyway. I enjoy getting up early and have my runs done early, a quick stretching, then I change my clothes, have a good breakfast and then I take off for one of my favorite classes at the gym from 9-10, one full active and fun hour of body conditioning.👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾💪🏼💪🏼
7/28/18 16.00 Miles 02:21:31 8:51 Pinole/Orinda area along the San Pablo Dam, California (US)
I got up early enough to be out running at 7, well, that was my plan, but I got distracted with things that had to be done and I didn't leave until 9:15 am, good thing it wasn't too hot today and I was able to finish okay. I have mentioned before that I have pain on my left foot, (plantar fasciitis), but after resting yesterday I felt okay to go out and run today. Some discomfort but not painful during the first hour, some rolling hills and a very good pace until mile 11 when I was definitely thinking that probably wasn't a good idea to go that far today but with some stops and stretches I managed to finish my 16 miles today. As soon as I got back, I rolled my foot and felt good, I stretched and then a filled a bucket with ice and water and put both feet in, a massage with a good natural medicine, compression and elevated now. Do this makes any sense? I've heard comments from non runners saying that we "runners" are stupid because we go far and beyond with our runs even when we are in pain, perhaps we are stobborn and a little bit ...stupid?... what do you think? All I know is I'm happy I did my run today. Happy Saturday and happy running 🏃🏼 🏃🏽‍♀️
7/26/18 6.00 Miles 0:59:25 9:55 Concord, California (US)
Not too smart running barefoot yesterday on the beach since I have been struggling with plantar😫😖 so today I had to keep it short and easy.
7/25/18 4.50 Miles 0:55:00 12:14 Twin Lakes Beach, Santa Cruz Ca (US)
What a beautiful day to be on the beach and the perfect temperature, 72-74 degrees. Nice walk/jog along the water and 👍🏾😃
7/24/18 12.00 Miles 1:44:57 8:45 Pinole/Orinda area (US)
Another beautiful morning for a good run. Tired legs today but I had to run a little bit more than I usually do on Tuesdays when I am supposed to do speed work; but happy I went out early and have this done.
7/22/18 6.00 Miles 0:41:54 6:59 Santa Cruz, California (US)
A beautiful day at Wharf to Wharf race in Santa Cruz today; 60 degrees at the start but very humid. This is not an easy run, rolling hills during the first 5 miles and this year the elite field was packed with lots of young fast girls and some not too young but super fast women. It's getting harder and harder for everybody. I used to be on the top 100th, but not today which means no jacket for me :-( but I am very happy with my time 41:54and 4AG. I arrived 1 minute after the 100th lady arrived and that minute took me to the position 120 (19 young women in one minute including one pregnant young woman that passed me at mile 4 and a half not even breathing hard) Still, very happy with my performance.
7/21/18 4.50 Miles 00:37:04 8:15 Pinole, CA (US)

7/19/18 6.00 Miles 00:51:13 8:33 Pinole, CA (US)
What a nice morning to be out running. I got up early today and it was foggy and beautiful, only 57 degrees, toward the end started to get warm and humid, but a big difference that when I go out later than 7 am. Happy running everyone😃🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏼
7/18/18 2.00 Miles 00:21:00 10:30 Walnut Creek, CA (US)
Walk/jog only
7/17/18 9.00 Miles 01:20:05 8:54 Pinole/Orinda, California (US)
Another warm run today and some rolling hills. I can't wait to see the hills turning green again.
7/15/18 12.00 Miles 01:49:20 9:07 Pinole and Orinda area/California (US)
A mid morning run and a little too warm. Some shady areas and some totally exposed, but overall a beautiful run out in the country. I enjoy running in places with no cars and especially with farms.
7/13/18 5.00 Miles 00:47:00 9:24 Pinole (US)
Another short and easy run.
7/12/18 5.00 Miles 01:05:00 13:00 Concord (US)
Indoor jog/walk. No pushing hard since I'm having issues with my left foot, but I thought this jog/walk can be added to our challenge.
7/12/18 4.00 Miles 0:33:20 8:20 Pinole (US)
An easy 4 miles today, unfortunately my left foot has been hurting and not able to run my regular distance, sorry for not posting any picture during my training runs but I don't usually take my phone with me unless I'm going for a long run.
7/10/18 5.00 Miles 0:42:04 8:25 Concord (US)
I've been experiencing pain on my left foot, but I didn't want to miss my run before going to do another work out, so I kept my run short today.
7/10/18 10.00 Miles 01:21:20 8:08 Lodi, CA (US)

7/10/18 5.00 Miles 0:44:20 8:52 Pinole (US)
I was scheduled to run a long distance this weekend, but I am racing again on Sunday, (10K) so I decided to just go out for a shake out run.
