The Guangzhou Marathon was launched in 2012 and certified by CAA as the A level event. From 2014 to 2017,Guangzhou Marathon was recognized as the CAA Gold Medal Race for four consecutive years. The year of 2018 has seen this event was upgraded as IAAF Gold Label Road Race after it was awarded as IAAF Bronze and Silver Label Road Race successively in 2016 and 2017.
Themed as “Renowned City, Harmony and Health”, Guangzhou Marathon combines the charm of competition and the idea of national fitness. It becomes a glamorous city name card, helping to promote Guangzhou Asian Games spirit and to develop national fitness, proposing a healthy lifestyle, enhancing the visibility and influence of Guangzhou, and displaying great economic and social achievements of Guangzhou, Guangdong, and China.
The course of Guangzhou Marathon has been set alongside the Pearl River. It excellently showcases the most unique Lingnan culture, the most time-honored scenic spots and the most stylish cultural trend. Every year, marathon fans show great enthusiasm to Guangzhou Marathon and actively take part in it.

Top eight male and female runners (ranked by gun time) will be awarded with the following bonus respectively (a 20% income tax will be levied). For Chinese runner, equivalent amount of Yuan will be given.

Note:
(1) The bonuses will be transferred to the male and female Marathon winners after their results are publicized and they pass the doping test.
(2) Each of the top three male and female Marathon runners will be awarded with one trophy and one medal.
(3) The runners who finish the race before the Cut OffTime will be awarded with Post-Race Packageand finishing medals.
2. AWARDS FOR BREAKING THE RACE RECORD(A 20% income tax will be levied)
(1) Marathon Male
The runner whose racing time is within 2:10:01 (NOT including 2:10:01) and who ranks as the first place of the race will be awarded with US$10000;
(2) Marathon Female
The runner whose racing time is within 2:26:46 (NOT including 2:26:46) and who ranks as the first place of the race will be awarded with US $10000.
Half Marathon is awarding $12,500 of prize money.

Undeterred by the season’s first snowfall, thousands of runners turned out for today’s NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K in Central Park. The race honorsTed Corbitt(1919-2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and a distance running pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime and was known as “the father of long-distance running.” Runners took on 9.3 challenging miles over Central Park’s hills. The overall winners were Teshome Mekonen in 44:43 and Belaynesh Fikadu in 54:36. Many members of local running clubs took part today in 2017’s finalclub points raceof the year. The running community will celebrate the top runners and teams of 2017 atNYRR Club Nighton February 1.
Among today's finishers was Gary Corbitt, Ted Corbitt’s son, who has dedicated much of the 10 years since his father’s death to preserving his father’s legacy. Gary spoke at theNYRRRUNCENTER featuring the NB Run Hubthis week about Ted’s dedication not only to running but to health and wellness (he worked full time as a physical therapist) and to building an inclusive community.

The Antarctic Ice Marathon is run over the classic 42.195km (26.2 miles) marathon distance. The race encompasses an individual competiton, with male and female divisions. There is also an option to run a half marathon - the Frozen Continent Half Marathon - which commences at the same time as the marathon.

The Abu Dhabi Marathon is shaping up to being first class marathon for both elite runners and average runners as well. Take in the finest aspects of Abu Dhabi's heritage, modern landmarks and the waters of the Arabian Gulf, at this world-class athletics event, set against the backdrop of the Capital's stunning architecture.
The race offered runners of all abilities the chance to participate in a range of races from 2.5km and 5km fun runs, to the 10km and full distance marathon. Whether they run, walk, wheelchair or push a buggy, this event truly offers an opportunity for the whole community to participate and spend time with friends and family at the race village which will be open throughout the day, providing entertainment, race coverage and children's activities.
Participants began the marathon outside the ADNOC headquarters, on Abu Dhabi corniche, and follow a route towards the Emirates Heritage Village. Participants will then make their way around Marina Mall, along King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud street, and on to Qasr Al Hosn, one of Abu Dhabi’s oldest and most beautifully maintained stone buildings. The final stretch of the race runs through Mina Zayed, before returning to ADNOC Headquarters.

The Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon (SC16048DW) and Half Marathon (SC16049DW) courses are both Certified and Sanctioned by the USA Track & Field Organization and the Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
