Welcome to the new Antrim Coast Half Marathon hosted by Larne AC.
The redesigned P&O Ferries Antrim Coast Half Marathon (formerly Larne Half Marathon) course promises to be one of the flattest and fastest in the UK & Ireland, taking in many prominent landmarks & stunning scenery along the route.
In 2020 Larne AC are delighted to announce the addition of one of the finest International fields ever assembled on these shores. To date, no fewer than 7 Olympic finalists have confirmed entry in the elite race, in addition to International teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Starting at the Chaine Memorial tower built in 1888, the course sweeps through Larne town before moving onto the iconic Antrim Coast Road. The coasts stunning landscape was recognized by the makers of HBO’s Game of Thrones, who used the area extensively as one of their filming locations.
Turning homeward at Ballygally Castle the course offers one of the fastest finishes to any road race.
In addition to the confirmed World Class field & fast course the total prize fund has quadrupled with over £10k prize money on offer, with the local prize fund having doubled from last year.

About the Course:
The course offers the most scenic half marathon in Northern Ireland, taking in the spectacular scenery of the Antrim Coast Road with its sheer cliffs on one side and sea views on the other.
The course takes runners along a scenic coastal route starting at the Larne Leisure Center. It is an out-and-back road race heading north along the coast, looping clockwise through Croft Road, Ballymullock Road and Cairncastle Road before returning south to the finish line back at the Leisure Center.
Larne Athletic club was established in 1988 and has been hosting a half marathon since 1993.
Over the years this event has been altered and changed. This has been always with the aim of improving the runners
experience, and showcasing the best of the local area.
The latest reincarnation, the P&O Ferries Antrim Coast Half Marathon, will be held on 12th September 2020; with the route adjusted to what promises to be one of the fastest and most exciting half marathons in Ireland.
