The 2018 Commonwealth Games, official ly known as the XXI Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Gold Coast 2018, is an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth that is currently being held in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, between April 4-15 2018. Track and Field competition started April 8, 2018.

If Australia is a top destination for sport, then Queensland’s Gold Coast City is the absolute summit. From April 4-15 2018, Gold Coast’s Carrara Stadium will be the venue for athletics and the opening and closing ceremonies. Nearby Southport Broadwater will host Swimming and Diving, while Labrador will host Hockey and the brand new Coomera Indoor Sports Centre will host Netball finals and Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics.
