Hamilton's Around the Bay Road Race is the oldest on the continent, first run in 1894, three years before the Boston Marathon. The 2025 World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor in Alachua County, Florida, USA, (“Championships”) will be held under the regulations of World Athletics as modified for Masters by World Masters Athletics (“WMA”) via their Competition Rules and any other special rules specified for this competition.

During the Championships, each athlete will represent a country, and each country has a national Masters athletics organization that is a member of WMA (“National Organization”). The world's fastest 10,000m races each year have taken place in a sleepy little coastal town in southern California. More national records were broken in 2022 than any other race on the planet as the best in the western hemisphere launched into rarified zones of time and space.

The Azkoitia-Azpeitia half marathon (Diego García memorial) is one of the most important sport events in the province of Gipuzkoa. It is an open race, as the only condition to take part in it is to be over 14 years old (no matter what sex or nationality participants are, or whether they are federated or not).

Each year, more than 1,000 runners take part in the half marathon, although we have to stand out the number of people in the streets cheering and supporting the athletes. Moreover, during the race there will be several provision points, so that runners can get their strength back.
