Located on Florida's Space Coast, just north of Miami, far south of Jacksonville and east of Orlando and Tampa, the State Farm Melbourne Beaches Music Marathon Weekend makes for a perfect warm winter running destination for runners of all ages and levels. The Melbourne Music Marathon typically attracts a slightly more serious runner than the previous month's Disney Marathon, but the course is still designed for fun. The weather is fine and the course is flat as a pancake, making for some spectacular PR's.

One of America's Top 10 Bucket List Waterfront Races," says Runners World Magazine.
The Publix Florida Marathon & 1/2 Marathonbegins in downtown Melbourne and traverses along scenic US1 and the Indian River offering great water views and two bridge crossings for half-marathoners with four for the full marathon runners. The event has water stops each mile of the course and will feature at least 20 musical acts along the route with a post-race concert providing beer, pizza and more to runners. The 1/2 Marathon Relay offers two runners the chance to work together on a 6.55 mile tag-team run with each receiving a finishers medal.
The races kick off on Saturday with the Florida Today 5k & 8k and Kids Run, withat least six musical acts on the race course and post race party with live music.
Going into its 10th year, the Publix Florida Marathon Weekend is East Central Florida’s premiere distance event and one of the most environmentally sustainable races in the southeast.

The Cardiff Kook Run 5K, 10K and Costume Contest is a celebration of the greatest community in the most amazing town on the map – and remember, it’s on Super Bowl Sunday.
The course starts under the world famous “Encinitas” sign on historic HWY 101 in beautiful Encinitas, California. This scenic loop passes by the famous “Cardiff Kook” statue (The Magic Carpet Ride), rises above some of the most popular surf breaks in the world and heads down to Cardiff State Beach.

The annual Cardiff Kook Run 10K & 5K is a celebration of the greatest town on the map – on the greatest day of the year, Super Bowl Sunday. The race routes, which stretch along the shores of Al Marjan Island, have been adapted to position the start and finish lines in the heart of the event village area, allowing supporters to get closer to the action and cheer on the runners. Relay runners handing over at the end of the first and third legs - the 5KM and 15KM points respectively - will be provided with transportation back to the event village.

The Austin Marathon and Half-Marathon courses are USATF certified and run through or past some of Austin's most scenic and historic areas, including Lady Bird Johnson Lake, the Allandale and Hyde Park neighborhoods, Congress Avenue, the University of Texas campus, and the State Capitol complex. The gently rolling and shaded course is 90 percent asphalt with long straightaways and 28 turns.
The marathon course gains approximately 14 feet per mile over the first 17 miles before dropping more than 33 feet per mile over the final nine miles to the finish on Congress Avenue in the shadow of the State Capitol Building. The route has a total ascent of 591 feet and has a maximum elevation of 764 feet. The elevation at the start is 546 feet.
