Since 1990, the end of summer in New England has been marked by the CVS Health Downtown 5k, held in Providence, Rhode Island. The annual event includes something for everyone, including:A main 5k event that attracts elite runners vying for the USATF 5k Championship (including several Olympians), as well as other amateur competitive runners, recreational runners and wheelchair athletes.High School 3k, including a costume contest
Youth races for kids from pre-kindergarten through eighth gradeAll Kids Can Inspirational event for children of all abilities
In addition to being a world-class and family-friendly sporting event, the race also allows CVS Health to support local communities through grants to local schools, track and field teams and other charities whose volunteerism makes the race a success.
