Doug Richards going to Run Antarctica half marathon

Doug Richards is planning an unusual 70th birthday celebration this year. He will mark the occasion on the southernmost continent in the last leg of his global running venture. On March 16th 2018, "I hope to fulfil a lifelong ambition of running at least a half marathon on every one of the Earth's seven continents, before my 70th birthday later this year." The race will take place on King George Island in the Antarctic. It will be a tough challenge even getting there. Doug has run over 100 half and 30 full marathons.
