Non-Africans Can Run on the Same Level as They Do
Sondre Nordstad Moen is the man of the moment after his European marathon record of 2:05:48 at Fukuoka Marathon earlier this month. "It took me 10 years of dedicated training to achieve this performance. It's all about hard work for many years," Moen says. "I think Africans will by far continue to dominate the long distances, but it is possible for some non-Africans to run at the same level as they do." He spends between 150 and 200 days each year living and training in Kenya, 550 since 2009.
