Prague Half Marathon also postponed, to September 6, 2020
The decision was comunicated by the organizers following the coronavirus emergency. It is not a cancellation.
The sportisimo Prague Half Marathon scheduled for saturday March 28, is postponed. As is happening all over the world, the goverment of Czech Republic has today adopted a series of urgent measures to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Last week of a series of extraordinary measures, wich would be implemented at all stages of the race, to guarantee the hygiene of the participants and avoid gatherings, wich is difficult to imagine during a race with more than 11,500 participants.
Today, in a message entrusted to the event´s social channels, in Czech an English, the race director Vaclav Skrivanek, wrote: "This is not a simple morning for us. You trained hard, waiting for a fantastic race and we did our best to make this happen. We respect the decisions of the goverment of the Czech Republic. Health is the priority".
The Sportisimo Prague Half Marathon was originally scheduled for March 28 but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it has been moved to September 6, 2020.
