Inactivity, not running is bad for your Knees

One common injury runners experience is knee related. How bad is running on your knees? Matthew Laye (A teacher, scientist, writer, coach and Ultra runner) posted this recently on twitter, "A study done at Thomas Jefferson University found that runners have half the knee arthritis as the general population. Running duration, intensity, mileage or number of marathons do not change risk (age & surgical history do). Inactivity, not running is bad for your knees."
