Doucet re-sets New Brunswick half record by one second

New Brunswick runner Shelley Doucet will surely be in celebration mode this week. The avid trail, ultra and road runner just re-set her province’s women’s half-marathon record over the weekend. Doucet showed up to the start line of the Houston Half-Marathon that was packed with speedy Canadian competition and ran 1:17:10. That result beats Patty Blanchard’s previous New Brunswick record of 1:17:11.
