A cyclist in Australia purposely ran over Runners as he yelled out profanities

I read about some student runners who were intentionally run over by a cyclist and I thought I should share it.   I know I have had many close calls with cyclists both on city streets and on paths met for both cyclists, runners and walkers.  Some cyclists don’t seem to be concerned as they pass by with only inches to spare.  I have heard stories from other runners who have had encounters with cyclists too.  This event happened in Australia recently. “Four students running in a cross country event in Canberra, Australia were run over by a cyclist, with two sustaining injuries.   Police say the man yelled profanities at the students as they ran on a shared public path about 9.30am on April 13. The cyclist allegedly swerved close to several students, colliding with one and knocking both himself and the student, who was injured, to the ground. It is then the man got back onto his bike and knocked down another three students, riding over one's foot and causing injuries. The man is described as Caucasian, about 25-30 years old, of thin build, with a light beard, and with a deep voice.”
