Santa Marta, officially the Tourist, Cultural and Historical District of Santa Marta, is the capital of the department of Magdalena, Colombia.
Santa Marta, is located on the shores of the bay of the same name on the Caribbean Sea, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the department of Magdalena.
Santa Marta is 992 km away from Bogotá; of Riohacha 166 km and Barranquilla 93 km.
