As of Nov 22, 2019 a date for the 2020 event has yet to be confirmed. The first-ever Bahrain Night Half Marathon is set to feature some of the world’s most prominent names in long-distance running, along with a large number of enthusiasts of all ages and nationalities.

The prestigious event is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.
It is being organised by the Bahrain Athletics Association in cooperation with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the Association of international Marathons and Distance Races, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Asian Athletics Association and Tumooh Sports Management.
The race of Bahrain Half Marathon is a great chance for you to enjoy spectacular views of the city. No need to worry about traffic. In accordance with International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) rules, the roads will be closed totally to facilitate the event.
The half-marathon includes men’s and women’s categories. A staggering first prize of $100,000 each will be won by the winners of those races. Prize money will also be claimed by the runners placed second through 10th.
There are bonuses of $30,000 for new world records set in either race.
