Sports trainer Ng See Chye holds a banner of his father

Sports trainer Ng See Chye is a seasoned running enthusiast with over 30 years of experience and more than 30 marathons under his belt. But he is expecting this year's Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) to be one of his toughest races. St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend is upon us

If you’re not taking part in one of Saturday’s races, you can support the runners by cheering them on along the route. One place to do so: Crosstown Arts, which is hosting the “Cancer is a Drag” St. Jude Marathon spirit station from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the Cleveland Street Flea Market at 438 N. 2017 BMW Dallas Marathon Announces Elite Ambassadors

Two of the biggest names in American long-distance running, Meb Keflezighi and Shalane Flanagan, are coming to Dallas for the 2017 BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and SMU Cox School of Business Relay, December 8-10. Throughout the weekend, four-time Olympian Keflezighi and recent New York City Marathon winner Flanagan will appear at events around the city, including the start and finish line on race day Sunday, Dec. 10. 34th Honolulu Marathon Is World's 4th Biggest Marathon

The very first Honolulu Marathon race debuted in 1973. The catalyst wasn't exactly athletic warfare or competition, but more as a way for a maverick cardiologist to show the benefits of long-distance running, primarily for his cardiac patients. 34 years later, it's the fourth biggest marathon in the world. Man Runs 4:17.9 Mile in Antarctica

Cancer Survivor Satoru Kasuya runs Sub 2:20 Marathon

In 2013 Japanese runner Satoru Kasuya was a promising 2:11 marathoner. A few months later he almost died from cancer. On Sunday at the Osaka marathon he ran 2:19:50. Surviving his treatment, Kasuya was determined to make a comeback. In September, 2015 he ran his first race post-surgery, a 5000 m time trial. Five months later he ran a 2:20:38 marathon in Tokyo,  following up with a 2:24:20 in Nagano this spring. On Sunday he placed 4th in 2:19:50. (Tue 28) ⚡AMP

Sir Mo Farah and Callum Hawkins Set for Battle

Britain’s two fastest half marathon runners of all time, Sir Mo Farah and Callum Hawkins, will face each other at The Big Half, London’s brand new half marathon, on Sunday March 4. Farah – the multi-Olympic and World Championship gold medallist over 5,000m and 10,000m – will begin the new road racing chapter of his career at The Big Half. Jerry Schumacher Named Coach of the Year by USATF

Jerry Schumacher (Portland, Oregon), whose Bowerman Track Club athletes in 2017 won three medals at the IAAF World Championships, as well as an historic marathon victory, has been named USATF’s 2017 Nike Coach of the Year, USATF announced Monday. “Jerry has become one of the world’s greatest coaches, and the consistent success of his athletes is a testament to that fact,” USATF CEO Max Siegel said. “He and his athletes have helped lead the resurgence in American distance running." New RnR San Antonio Marathon And Half courses
