Know how to get to your starting area. Note: The dark red line is temporary fencing that will restrict your movement into secured areas. If you are running the 15K, we do not advise that you enter the Fairgrounds prior to the race unless you need to pick up a packet. If you are in the Fairgrounds, the only way to get to Waves 2, 3 and 4 is through the main gate at the corner of the Franklin and Duval. The Starting line can not be accessed from the front on Duval Street.
If you park in the lots on the south side of Duval Street or off Gator Bowl Blvd the best way to get to your starting area is on Georgia Street or through lot J.
Please arrive early on race morning to avoid delays.
Arrive by 6:30 AM – virtually no delays
Arrive 6:30 to 7 AM – expect traffic and parking delays
Arrive after 7 AM – it will be difficult to get to the start in time.
How the 15K and 5K start works.
1. All 15K participants should go to their Wave Staging areas at least 15 minutes before their wave start times. Each wave has its own water and toilets.
2. All waves will be started from the starting line on Duval Street at the corner of Randolph Blvd.
3. Wave 1 will line up at the starting line. All other waves should wait in the wave starting area until we call for your wave start and then we will move you up to the starting line. All participants in waves 2, 3, and 4 should stay behind the lead rope and we will walk you to the starting line.
4. 5K participants would wait inside the Fairgrounds until all four waves of the 15K has started. We will then announce for you to move onto Duval Street for the start.
5. If is very important to know where your wave staging area is located and how to get to it without being blocked by fencing. It is very difficult top move around the starting line since it is fenced and security will not let you enter an area that is restricted.
